一、教材分析：

本單元的教學(xué)核心項(xiàng)目是“描述人的外貌”（Describe People），涉及到討論人的身高、體重、發(fā)型、面部特征及其著裝等語言項(xiàng)目。教材內(nèi)容圍繞著描述人的外貌特點(diǎn)展開，讓學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)談?wù)撊说纳砀?、體重、發(fā)型、面部特征及著裝特點(diǎn)，以人的外貌特征為主線，兼顧交際功能的學(xué)習(xí)，以一種循序漸進(jìn)的生活化的學(xué)習(xí)程序，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)用英語介紹自己或他人的外表特征。這些內(nèi)容與學(xué)生的實(shí)際生活密切相關(guān)，易于引發(fā)學(xué)生運(yùn)用簡(jiǎn)單的英語進(jìn)行交際和交流，所以在學(xué)習(xí)活動(dòng)中，學(xué)生能通過交換對(duì)不同人物的描述及看法，促進(jìn)學(xué)生之間和師生之間的情感交流，增進(jìn)情誼。

課件教案

Section A從根據(jù)人的外貌特征找人，來呈現(xiàn)與此相關(guān)的形容詞、短語 (Activity1a)到聽力練習(xí)(Activity1b, 2a, 2b)，讓學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)描述人的外貌(Activity3a)，引出本單元的語法項(xiàng)目have動(dòng)詞、be動(dòng)詞和wear動(dòng)詞的用法，到句型操練(Activity1c,3,3b)，語言目標(biāo)層層遞進(jìn)，主要展示了重點(diǎn)句型：

What does he/she look like?

He/She is tall. He/She has curly hair.

What do you/they look like?

I’m thin. /They’re medium height.

最后還有一個(gè)猜人游戲：MysteryStudent(Activity4) 以游戲的方式來檢測(cè)學(xué)生對(duì)本部分單詞和句型的掌握情況。

Section B中的教學(xué)是在Section A的基礎(chǔ)上展開的，不少知識(shí)點(diǎn)都是以舊帶新，把所學(xué)的目標(biāo)句型進(jìn)行實(shí)際的綜合運(yùn)用。

先以Activity1a入手繼續(xù)學(xué)習(xí)描述人的外貌特征的詞和短語，再以Activity1b進(jìn)行實(shí)際操練, Activity2a, 2b是一個(gè)綜合的聽力訓(xùn)練，用來展示學(xué)生的聽力能力，并以聽力內(nèi)容為基礎(chǔ)，通過Activity2c中描述自己的偶像的外貌的練習(xí)實(shí)現(xiàn)英語交際的功能。Activity3a通過比較Johnny Dean的前后照片培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的任務(wù)性閱讀能力。 Activity3b是根據(jù)提供的圖片進(jìn)行填空的寫作練習(xí)。Activity3c是一篇模仿寫作，讓學(xué)生寫一篇描述他們家庭成員外貌的短文。

Self-check是課后自我表現(xiàn)檢測(cè)，包括四個(gè)部分：

1．檢測(cè)本單元所學(xué)詞匯。

2．添加生詞。

3．描述圖片中人物的外貌。

4．最后在Just for Fun小幽默中輕松愉快地結(jié)束本單元。

4．能掌握本單元出現(xiàn)的表示人外觀的詞組及句型，并能結(jié)合實(shí)際生活進(jìn)行靈活運(yùn)用，用這些詞組及句型描述別人的外表，提高寫作水平。

三、教學(xué)重難點(diǎn)：

通過學(xué)習(xí)語言材料，讓學(xué)生獲得運(yùn)用所學(xué)的有關(guān)詞匯、短語及句型，描述人的外貌特征，并能結(jié)合實(shí)際生活進(jìn)行靈活運(yùn)用的能力。

四、學(xué)情分析:

學(xué)生在七年級(jí)上冊(cè)已經(jīng)學(xué)過關(guān)于“What does he like?”這一特殊疑問句式，具有了學(xué)習(xí)本單元知識(shí)的認(rèn)知前提，能自然地與本單元話題進(jìn)行銜接。談?wù)撊说耐獗硇蜗笫侨藗內(nèi)粘Ｉ钪杏龅降脑掝}。故學(xué)生喜于用英語表達(dá)此類知識(shí)。

五、教學(xué)方法和學(xué)習(xí)策略：

（一）教學(xué)方法：

1．情景交際法：本單元話題源自生活，立足這一點(diǎn)，充分利用學(xué)生已有的知識(shí)和經(jīng)驗(yàn)，創(chuàng)設(shè)生活化的真實(shí)情境，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生在運(yùn)用中學(xué)習(xí)語言，然后在學(xué)習(xí)新的語言知識(shí)后創(chuàng)造性地運(yùn)用語言（為用而學(xué)，在用中學(xué)，學(xué)了能用）。

2．任務(wù)型語言教學(xué)法：設(shè)計(jì)多種任務(wù)活動(dòng)，提供給學(xué)生合作交流的空間和時(shí)間，促使學(xué)生為完成任務(wù)和同學(xué)進(jìn)行合作，為完成任務(wù)進(jìn)行探究學(xué)習(xí)。

Step I. Warming-up:

Play a game “Polly says…”.Tell the Ss the rules：If Polly says touch your eyes/ears/ nose/mouth/shoulder/legs/arms.You should do it. If it doesn’t say that, you can’t do it. If you are wrong,you have to sit down. The person who does it correctly is the winner.

Step II. Presentation:

1.Say“Great！”to the winner and lethim/her be in front of the class. Then talk about the winner with the wholeclass：Do you think he/she is very great? Do youlike him/her? What is he/she like? What does he/she look like? Is he/she tall/short?What does he/she wear?

2.Show the photos of some famous people to introduce hairstyle,height and build. Teach the new words and the new sentence pattern.

3.Go over the spelling and the pronunciation of the new words withthe Ss.

Step III. Pair work:

At first the teacher gives the Ss an example with a picture ofJackie Chen.

A: What does he look like?

B: He has short hair. He is medium build. He is a little short.

Then ask Ss practice like this.

Step IV. Play a guessing game:

At first the teacher gives the Ss an example. Then ask Ss to guesstheir classmates’ names with the descriptions as quickly as possible.

Step V. Activity1a—1b:

1. Let the Ss look at the picture at page 41 and match the peoplein the picture with the words. And check the answers together

2. Let the Ss listen Activity 1b carefully, fill in the blanks inthe picture at page 41 and find Amy’s friend. We can listen twice．The first time, just listen．The second time，listen and fill in the blanks．And say something aboutAmy’s friend’s look．( Hes really tall．And he has curly hair.)

Step VI. Draw and describe:

Ask Ss to draw a picture of “What do you look like when you are 20years old? ” and descry

4.Say something more about other people.

Step II. Activity2a,2b,3:

1.Let the Ss listen Activity 2a carefully, circle“is”or“has”.

2.Listen the conversations again and fill in the blanks. Then saysomething about the students’ look．(eg. David is tall andheavy．And he has curly hair.)

3.Let the Ss find the difference between “is”or“has” and payattention to how to use “is”or“has”.

4.Tell the Ss: Lily has a new friend in Class Five. Do you want toknow her? Let’s help Lily describe her new friend.

1.Say: Now, Maria and Danny are also talking about two famouspeople. Look at Page44 and find out their names. Make sure the Ss can read thenames correctly.

2.Let the Ss describe the two people in the picture.

3.Listen to the conversation, write down the job each person does.

4. Listen again and write down what each person looks like.

5.Check the answers.

3.Let the Ss show their pictures to the class. Find out the bestdrawing and the winner.

Introduce Old Henry and his neighbors to the Ss and tell them thatthey are performing in a play. Let the Ss write down the description on Page46.
